Recalls on 2008 KTM 450XC and 525XC
Name of Product: All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
Distributor: KTM North America Inc., of Amherst, Ohio
Hazard: The rear brake caliper support can crack; this could result in the potential for a loss of the use of the rear brake and subsequently lead to an accident.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: This recall involves KTM model year 2008 450XC and 525XC ATVs. The ATV’s are orange and black in color and have 450XC and 525 XC branded on the side as well as the KTM™ logo.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using these vehicles immediately and contact their local KTM dealer to schedule an appointment for a free repair.

Ok, so it seems that MOST of the posting has been done by 5 or 6 members.

the ktm is 363 lbs. wet, with nerf bars and tether. truly race ready.
The KTM is actually "(363 pounds with all fluids except fuel). "
Premium Gasoline is "6.350 pounds per gallon."
With a 3 gallon tank, thats 19lbs more. So your actual wet weight is 382 lbs.
Still lighter wet than the competition, but not by much IMO.

All the bragging about how you kick everyones azz on the track, and then one of your buddies tells us in chat you only won one race all year (you claim 3). In the meantime, he is a first year racer on a LT-R, and he won 16 races, 3 on his modded LT-R, and 13 on his near-stock LT-R.
he didnt win 16 races bacause there were 15 rounds, so thats a lie, he only started beating me after he bough his crate motor and floats, and i did win 3 races, an MMRS port perry race by half a lap both motos, a CMRC provincial and the CMRC amateur national
Why did you just take it, and not call him out on it in the chat then?

the team that wins is the one with the best riders and the most money,not neccessarily the best out of the box bike
From what cc sent me in that chat.. he claims he was nearly stock... So how does that show that the most money wins races?

Im not going to lie, with the pricing that you claim in Canada, they KTM seems like a VERY good choice.
But look at it from OUR view for a minute, BF84, leftover YFZ's and 450r's can easily be found for $5500. Do you honestly believe that the KTM is worth $6,100 more than the YFZ's and 450r's?
